it is.....today is the last day
I don't know if there is anything I love more than a McD's cheeseburger.
That said, I will only eat there as a last resort. Food tastes good, but it will kill you.
I've gotten to the phase in my life where if I eat fast food it's out of time-related necessity - the stuff is just so greasy and heavy. Just doesn't make me happy to eat it.
Fortunately there's some lighter fare on the menus but even then they're not necessarily good for you.
Had lunch at Chili's today and decided to try the new Southern Smokehouse Bacon Cheeeseburger (Extra thick-cut brown sugar & chile-rubbed bacon topped with smoked cheddar cheese, crispy onion strings and mayo. Served with ancho-chile BBQ sauce on the side). It looked mouthwatering on the commercial . Well it was pretty good but I've had better for less ($7.99).

Ditto I try to avoid it like the plague. If I do eat fastfood I try to get somehting from Subway. I am a stickler for pizza kings greasy subs tho.
Ate at McDonald's yesterday. Double Quarter-Pounder combo. Every time I eat a Double QP, the juicy hamburger patties pretty much make it one of the better burgers there in my opinion. Put two of those patties together and add some cheese on top: You've got yourself a heck of a burger. The fries and sweet tea (personal favorite) are just icing on the cake.
The Big Mac is a great one as well, but it doesn't have those patties like on the QP/Double QP so I don't like it quite as much, though I must say that the "special sauce" is the best part of it considering it's such a unique thing that you never really see anywhere else.
Like NSSB pointed out, the place can destroy you if you aren't careful. But I swear, most of their stuff is hard to beat - even with the numerous naysayers saying it sucks.
A Happy Meal is about the cheapest fast-food lunch I can find, but even those have more than half the calories, almost all the sodium and almost all the fat I need daily as an adult...
As was mentioned above, Subway, and maybe fast-food salads, are less painful on the old arteries! Even better yet is just fixing lunch at home (when I can). Egg white on wheat is a favorite, maybe pb&j, soup...
The problem with McDonalds is the overload of fat, sugar, salt, and carbs.
